The "Wicked"ness is spreading (10.20.07)

By Reverend Rogue Six

(Disclaimer: The views expressed in the following are purely those of the columnist.)

"Wicked" has come and gone, and we have another chapter of plots and vendettas in the saga of MEWL that Macchiavelli himself would watch and enjoy with great relish...

Justin Diaz continued his mindgames with Wilbur Whitlock, whose temper and obsession with regaining the North American title keeps getting the better of him -- and costing him matches. Wilbur needs to do one thing and one thing only: FOCUS. If he keeps on fighting two enemies -- Diaz and Wilbur's own personal obsession with being on top once more (and get your mind out of the gutter, I'm referring to his pursuit of championship gold!) -- Wilbur's going to end up with absolutely NOTHING for his efforts.

Jessicka Havoc continued to work as Chris Kole's personal assassin, as she took out Jazin Blaze in a savage and brutal Casket match, managing to win the MEWL Cruiserweight title in the process. But I have to ask why Jessicka -- who's proven to be a formidable force in the ring -- had to call upon the aid of the Evil Amish warrior Jebediah? And moreover, what will happen when Jazin heals from his wounds and comes to exact revenge?

The "student vs teacher" saga of "The Natural" Christian Vaughn and Johnny Gun added another chapter in its own tale as the two met in a Ladder match with the MEWL North American title on the line. Now, Johnny was lucky enough to get a DQ win over Christian at September 2 Dismember (no thanks to the ref); could Johnny do the impossible and win again? Evidently Gun must be living a charmed life, since he managed to win the North American belt -- but not on his own, oh no...he received an assist from Christian's nemesis: the former North American champion, Wilbur Whitlock! I can't help but wonder how long Johnny Gun's luck will last...

[Let me speak to Johnny for a moment -- Johnny, a piece of advice: Lady Luck is a fickle mistress. When she's with you, life is beautiful. And when she turns on you and leaves, life becomes a bitch. And you're in the situation where you can't afford to be without her. Think about it: Christian wants to kill you, Wilbur wants your belt...you're a man with few options and even fewer allies.]

Now, I must give credit where it's due, and this credit goes to the master player in all of this: the new MEWL Heavyweight Champion, Chris Kole. He's got to be smiling like the cat who ate the canary, because not only is he now King of the MEWL Mountain, but he's finally managed to fully exact revenge on his two former allies: Shane Sensation (currently MIA) and Jazin Blaze. Yes, he won the Sinful Seven match at "Wicked", but as anyone knows, with the gold comes a set of crosshairs on his back.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown, Chris.

Yes, folks, there have been those in MEWL who have indeed committed acts of sheer "Wicked"ness...and how many will be ready when the time comes to atone for their actions?

I may be wrong with all of this...but I doubt it.

Thus endeth the sermon.
