No Love Lost Aftermath

February 10, 2006

Fans saw one title change hands as Virus pinned Jayzin Blaze for the Cruiserweight Title in a triple threat match that also featured Unknown. It was a high-flying, high-impact, high-risk exhibition of lightning quick moves that eventually led to an upset victory for Unknown. Will fans on March 25 get to see a rematch between the two? Only the Championship Committee and General Manager John Orlando know for sure.

Of course if anything can top a dazzling display of high-flying, it's a brutal, bloody brawl, and that's exactly what the fans got when "The Pure One" Justin Diaz locked up with "The Natural" Christian Vaughn in a no-disqualifications, falls-count-anywhere grudge match booked earlier in the evening by Orlando. Both competitors were initially disappointed not to learn the G.M. had not named them the number one contender to "Big Gun" Jeff Cannon's World League Title, but they took those frustrations out on each other. Unfortunately for Vaughn, two dented chairs, one shattered table, and a cracked kendo stick later, Diaz had successfully cheated his way to another victory thanks to the help of '"The Reject'" Richard Friar.

But it was the main event that really made MEWL history. Orlando, concerned that fans were getting confused over which title, Cannon's World League Championship or '"Hot Commodity'" Matt Mason's Main Event Championship, was the top belt in MEWL, booked a title unification bout. In the end it was Cannon's arm raised in victory, despite outside interference from the A-List.

Other matches saw the feud between "Sexy" Lexi Lane and Jayme Braxton heat up despite Braxton's refusal to get in the ring, as Lane managed to defeat Braxton's latest chosen substitute, Otis.

It was a good night for Lane, who also got a little revenge against Brian Biggs, who defeated her at MEWL's last show. Her choice to face Biggs, Lones Oaks, managed to dominate his opponent despite receiving a massive spinebuster from Sherman Tank.

Other matches saw Tank beat Robby Starr, Team-X defeat Sideshow, Scotty Sabre get the win over "The Bachelor" Richard Carter, Chris Kole defeat Brandon X, and Wilbur Whitlock beat Thunder.
